ZooeyIf you watch the hit show "New Girl" on Fox, surely you've noticed how gorgeous Zooey Deschanel's hair looks!

Hair Stylist Aaron Light is the man creating that magic. Light does both Zooey and co-star Hannah Simone's hair and he checked in to tell us how he keeps their hair looking so beautiful and healthy.

I love the new H2PRO BLACK ONYX styling iron. The hair comes out like silk. It's been amazing for Zooey's bangs and for Hannah’s hair as well.

Natural waves for character “Jess” on New Girl

ZooeyFor Zooey’s character Jess, I curl the ends and the front bags using the H2PRO Black Onyx.

After washing her hair, I give her a full blow out and apply product to give her hair shine and movement.

I use a 2-inch barrel iron to curl sections of hair away from her face from midway on the hair down to the ends, applying a fine spray afterwards to hold. This creates large loose curls.

I bump the ends using the Black Onyx to create a natural look.

For the front bangs, I smooth them out using the Black Onyx and then curl the bangs under to create a Marianne Faithful-inspired look.

Betty-Paige inspired style for character “Cece” on New Girl

New GirlI use the H2PRO Black Onyx styling iron to create a straight Betty Paige-inspired do for Hannah Simone’s character  “Cece” on New Girl.

I first blow her hair out completely dry, then straighten her hair using this iron from the root to the end, then flip the hair upwards at the ends so that it looks playful.

She has beautiful thick textured hair, and the Black Onyx makes it look very sleek, shiny and finished!
